France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.06%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.06%, while the SBF 120 index unchanged 0.00%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which rose 2.98% or 0.75 points to trade at 25.94 at the close. Meanwhile, TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) added 2.08% or 1.20 points to end at 58.94 and Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) was up 1.70% or 1.82 points to 109.18 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN), which fell 3.16% or 1.46 points to trade at 44.81 at the close. Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) declined 2.98% or 5.30 points to end at 172.75 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was down 2.17% or 0.77 points to 34.76.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Eramet SA (EPA:ERMT) which rose 4.46% to 78.50, Aperam SA (AS:APAM) which was up 3.57% to settle at 29.89 and Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which gained 3.23% to close at 10.69.

The worst performers were Valneva (EPA:VLS) which was down 7.37% to 6.03 in late trade, Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:STDM) which lost 4.65% to settle at 315.70 and Ovh Groupe SAS (EPA:OVH) which was down 3.33% to 13.36 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 296 to 240 and 96 ended unchanged.

Shares in TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.08% or 1.20 to 58.94.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.57% or 9.90 to $1,750.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.17% or 0.90 to hit $78.14 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.55% or 0.46 to trade at $84.35 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 106.64.
