Investing.com — Fisker Inc (NYSE:FSR) shares moved higher as it announced Friday it will be unveiling its Ocean all-electric SUV in Europe at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The Fisker Ocean has a range of 250 miles with a starting price of $37,499. Delays have prevented the Ocean vehicles from reaching the market: they were initially due to start production in late 2021 or early this year, but that has now been pushed back to November 2022.
In today’s press release, the company said deliveries will begin in certain European countries and North America once production begins in over 8 months.
Fisker recently opened a European office in Munich and is building a brand experience center in Germany.
“Europe is essential to our company as we work toward the start of production in November at a carbon-neutral factory in Austria,” said Fisker CEO Henrik Fisker.
“We aim to make the world’s most sustainable vehicle and to start deliveries in Europe this year. Ultimately, we expect to sell 60,000 units annually in the region,” he added.
Fisker shares are up 5.3% Friday in early trading.
