Exxon Mobil Earnings Beat, Revenue Misses In Q4

Exxon Mobil announced earnings per share of $2.05 on revenue of $84.97B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $1.93 on revenue of $85.01B.

Exxon Mobil shares are up 24% from the beginning of the year, still down 0.60% from its 52 week high of $76.42 set on January 31. They are outperforming the S&P 500 which is down 5.26% from the start of the year.

Exxon Mobil shares gained 0.71% in pre-market trade following the report.

Exxon Mobil’s report follows an earnings missed by Chevron on Friday, who reported EPS of $2.56 on revenue of $48.13B, compared to forecasts EPS of $3.13 on revenue of $45.34B.

Schlumberger had beat expectations on January 21 with fourth quarter EPS of $0.41 on revenue of $6.23B, compared to forecast for EPS of $0.389 on revenue of $6.09B.
