Duke Energy Earnings inline, Revenue Misses In Q4

Duke Energy announced earnings per share of $1.03 on revenue of $5.78B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $1.03 on revenue of $6.72B.

Duke Energy shares are up 2% from the beginning of the year, still down 9.72% from its 52 week high of $103.79 set on February 24, 2020. They are under-performing the S&P 500 which is up 4.09% from the start of the year.

Duke Energy’s report follows an earnings beat by NextEra Energy on January 26, who reported EPS of $0.4 on revenue of $4.4B, compared to forecasts EPS of $0.3818 on revenue of $5.56B.

Enterprise Products Partners LP had missed expectations on February 3 with fourth quarter EPS of $0.15 on revenue of $7.04B, compared to forecast for EPS of $0.5037 on revenue of $7.6B.
