Restaurant chain Wingstop Inc.

named President and Chief Operating Officer Michael Skipworth as its chief executive.
Skipworth, who joined Wingstop in 2014, has served in a number of leadership roles, including EVP and chief financial officer. He will join the company’s board, Wingstop said.
He succeeds Charlie Morrison, who is resigning as chairman and CEO to join Salad & Go, Wingstop said. Morrison said he had been with Wingstop for 10 years.
Lynn Crump-Caine, the board’s lead independent director, was named as chair, the company said.
