The pan-European exchange Euronext NV confirmed Monday that it is in talks with Bolsas y Mercados Espanoles Sociedad Holding de Mercados y Sistemas Financieros BME, +4.01% regarding a potential offer for the Spanish stock-exchange company, confirming recent speculation.
“Euronext confirms that it is now in talks with the board of directors of BME, which may or may not lead to an offer being made,” Euronext ENX, +0.56% said.
