Dow Jones Newswires: EasyJet, Just Eat to replace Hiscox, Fresnillo in FTSE 100 Index -FTSE Russell

Budget airline easyJet PLC EZJ, +5.13%  is returning to the FTSE 100 index UKX, +0.42%  after a six-month absence in the latest reshuffle alongside food-delivery platform Just Eat PLC JE, +0.16%, FTSE Russell confirmed late Wednesday.

The companies are replacing Bermuda-based reinsurance company Hiscox Ltd. HSX, -0.74%, which has only been in the index for a year and gold miner Fresnillo PLC FRES, -6.39%, which has been a member since March 2009.

EasyJet left the index in June after a stint of more than six years.

The changes are due to become effective from close of business on Friday Dec. 20.

The FTSE 100 is a share index of the 100 most highly-capitalized companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. Any company that falls to 111th and below is automatically ejected from the index, while any firm that rises to 90 or above is automatically promoted.
