Dow Jones Newswires: Amazon Web Services to expand local zones in 32 cities around the world

Amazon Web Services Inc. on Wednesday said it planned to launch new AWS Local Zones in 26 countries.

Over the next two years, Amazon Web Services said, it plans to launch local zones in 32 cities, including Amsterdam, Auckland, Bangkok, Buenos Aires, Delhi, Hanoi, Helsinki, Lima, Rio de Janeiro and Warsaw.

Customers can connect to local zones through an internet connection or AWS Direct Connect, the company said.

Also on Wednesday, the company said it completed its first 16 AWS Local Zones in the U.S.
