Dow futures tick lower, earnings in focus

Investing.com – U.S. stock futures were trading lower during Monday’s evening deals, after major benchmark indices remained closed for the public holiday, with traders looking ahead to a busy week of economic data and corporate earnings results.

By 6:30pm ET (11:30pm GMT) Dow Jones Futures and S&P 500 Futures were trading 0.1% lower, while Nasdaq 100 Futures dipped 0.2%.

Ahead in Tuesday’s trade, market participants will be looking toward the NY Empire State manufacturing index and a speech from FOMC member Williams, as well corporate earnings results from Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYSE:GS), Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) and United Airlines Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:UAL).

On the bond markets, United States 10-Year rates were at 3.498%.
