Dow Futures Little Changed After Positive Session, Earnings Continue

Investing.com – U.S. stock futures were trading flat during Thursday’s evening deals, after major benchmark averages finished the regular session higher as investors monitored a fresh batch of corporate earnings results.

By 6:50pm ET (10:50pm GMT) Dow Jones Futures, S&P 500 Futures and Nasdaq 100 Futures were all trading flat.

In extended deals,Applied Materials (NASDAQ:AMAT) added 2% after reporting Q3 EPS of $1.94, beating estimates of $1.78 while revenue came in at $6.52 billion versus $6.27 billion expected.

Bill Com Holdings Inc (NYSE:BILL) surged 21.2% after the company reported Q4 losses of $0.03 per share, better expected losses of $0.14 per share. Revenue came in at $200.2 million versus $183.16 million expected.

OSI Systems (NASDAQ:OSIS) shed 9% after reporting Q4 EPS of $1.96, just above estimates of $1.95, while revenue was reported at $336.82 million versus $336.4 million.

During Thursday’s regular deals, The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 18.7 points or 0.1% to 33,999, the S&P 500 rose 0.2% to finish at 4,283.7 and the NASDAQ Composite added 0.2% to 12,965.3.

On the data front, Initial jobless claims fell to 250K for the week ended Aug. 13 slight below 265K expected, existing home sales dropped nearly 6% in July while earnings reports from Kohls Corp (NYSE:KSS), Bath & Body Works Inc. (NYSE:BBWI) and BJs Wholesale Club Holdings Inc (NYSE:BJ) were closely monitored.

On the bond markets, United States 10-Year yields were at 2.886%.
