Dow futures inch lower, nonfarm payrolls in focus

Investing.com – Dow futures were trading slightly lower in Thursday’s evening trade, extending losses from the regular session as investors looked ahead to key employment data set to be released early in Friday’s session.

By 6:35pm ET (11:35pm GMT) Dow Jones Futures were 0.1% lower while S&P 500 Futures, Nasdaq 100 Futures declined 0.2% apiece.

In extended deals, Oracle (NYSE:ORCL) dipped 3.6% after the company reported Q3 EPS of $1.22, slightly above $1.21 expected, while revenue came in at $12.4 billion versus $12.43B expected.

DocuSign (NASDAQ:DOCU) lost 7.3%, reporting Q4 EPS of $0.65 versus $0.52 expected on revenue of $659.6 million versus $639.26 million.

Gap Inc (NYSE:GPS) fell 7.3% after reporting Q4 losses of $0.75 per share versus losses of $0.47 per share expected. Revenue was reported at $4.24 billion versus $4.36 billion expected.

Ahead in Friday’s session, the closely watched nonfarm payrolls report will be in focus, alongside unemployment rate and average hourly earnings data.

During Thursday’s regular trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 543.5 points or 1.7% to 32,254.9, the S&P 500 lost 73.7 points or 1.9% to 3,918.3 and the  NASDAQ Composite fell 237.7 points or 2.1% to 11,338.4.

On the bond markets, United States 10-Year rates were at 3.907%.
