Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 3.45%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 3.45% to hit a new 6-months low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH), which fell 0.62% or 3.4 points to trade at 549.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW) fell 0.81% or 6 points to end at 786 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was down 1.22% or 2.2 points to 174.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which fell 7.16% or 28.4 points to trade at 368.0 at the close. Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) declined 5.70% or 16.9 points to end at 279.6 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was down 5.17% or 39.0 points to 716.0.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 149 to 20 and 9 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.22% or 2.2 to 174.0.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.68% or 2.28 to $82.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.32% or 2.02 to hit $85.06 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.85 to trade at $1833.65 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.28% to 6.5792, while EUR/DKK rose 0.04% to 7.4433.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 96.015.
