Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 2.98%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Personal & Household Goods, Chemicals and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 2.98% to hit a new 52-week low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 0.37% or 0.60 points to trade at 161.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) fell 1.45% or 2.30 points to end at 156.60 and Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) was down 1.73% or 12.10 points to 687.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb), which fell 8.17% or 146.00 points to trade at 1,642.00 at the close. GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) declined 7.71% or 18.50 points to end at 221.60 and Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) was down 6.88% or 18.80 points to 254.30.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 133 to 22 and 15 ended unchanged.

Shares in Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) fell to 52-week lows; losing 8.17% or 146.00 to 1,642.00. Shares in Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.88% or 18.80 to 254.30.

Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.19% or 0.22 to $115.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.66% or 0.78 to hit $117.73 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.52% or 27.65 to trade at $1,847.25 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.57% to 7.08, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.96% at 103.93.
