Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 2.97%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 2.97% to hit a new 1-month low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which fell 0.22% or 0.2 points to trade at 115.0 at the close. Meanwhile, ISS A/S (CSE:ISS) fell 0.48% or 0.60 points to end at 124.25 and Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) was down 0.84% or 1.4 points to 159.6 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb), which fell 5.80% or 68.5 points to trade at 1113.0 at the close. DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV) declined 5.45% or 85.0 points to end at 1476.0 and Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) was down 5.26% or 17.7 points to 318.9.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 119 to 32 and 16 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.34% or 1.03 to $77.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.76% or 1.40 to hit $81.10 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.10% or 19.85 to trade at $1786.45 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.13% to 6.6095, while EUR/DKK rose 0.03% to 7.4370.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 96.498.
