Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.74%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 1.74%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb), which fell 0.73% or 7.50 points to trade at 1,013.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) fell 1.03% or 10.40 points to end at 999.60 and Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) was down 1.25% or 1.90 points to 150.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which fell 5.85% or 6.45 points to trade at 103.80 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) declined 4.63% or 7.55 points to end at 155.50 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) was down 4.44% or 25.20 points to 542.80.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 116 to 42 and 10 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.62% or 1.23 to $76.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.65% or 1.35 to hit $82.94 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.31% or 24.05 to trade at $1,858.65 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.74% to 6.98, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.06% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.84% at 104.42.
