Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.35%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 1.35%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb), which rose 1.34% or 13.00 points to trade at 980.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) added 0.69% or 3.30 points to end at 482.70 and Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) was up 0.28% or 0.45 points to 161.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 4.49% or 9.45 points to trade at 201.20 at the close. Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) declined 4.02% or 8.20 points to end at 196.00 and DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV) was down 3.89% or 45.50 points to 1,123.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 102 to 47 and 15 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.75% or 0.60 to $80.40 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.00% or 0.85 to hit $85.83 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 15.45 to trade at $1,922.45 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was unchanged 0.03% to 6.89, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.04% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 102.08.
