Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.74%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.74%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Netcompany Group (CSE:NETCG), which rose 3.55% or 25.00 points to trade at 729.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) added 3.35% or 5.8 points to end at 178.8 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was up 2.77% or 650 points to 24100 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which fell 3.06% or 22.5 points to trade at 712.5 at the close. Genmab (CSE:GMAB) declined 1.14% or 30.0 points to end at 2600.0 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was down 0.85% or 1.7 points to 198.3.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 112 to 53 and 14 ended unchanged.

Shares in AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.77% or 650 to 24100.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.84% or 0.63 to $75.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.20% or 0.93 to hit $78.71 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.59% or 29.15 to trade at $1799.45 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.69% to 6.5859, while EUR/DKK rose 0.04% to 7.4380.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.71% at 96.273.
