Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 9.35%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 9.35% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 17.26% or 188.40 points to trade at 1,279.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) added 1.61% or 4.20 points to end at 264.40 and Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) was up 1.25% or 6.10 points to 495.10 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK), which fell 2.48% or 13.00 points to trade at 512.20 at the close. Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) declined 1.49% or 1.95 points to end at 129.20 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was down 1.38% or 2.25 points to 161.20.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 76 to 64 and 24 ended unchanged.

Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) rose to all time highs; gaining 17.26% or 188.40 to 1,279.80. Shares in Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) fell to 3-years lows; down 1.49% or 1.95 to 129.20.

Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.31% or 0.25 to $81.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.22% or 0.19 to hit $85.15 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.47% or 9.30 to trade at $1,960.70 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.49% to 6.80, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 102.43.
