Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.73%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 2.73%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb), which rose 6.82% or 144 points to trade at 2254 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 5.45% or 67.0 points to end at 1295.5 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 3.67% or 15.9 points to 449.7 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which fell 3.60% or 9.5 points to trade at 254.5 at the close. Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) declined 0.36% or 2.0 points to end at 559.6 and Simcorp A/S (CSE:SIM) was down 0.06% or 0.5 points to 814.0.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 87 to 47 and 14 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.37% or 0.22 to $58.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.21% or 0.13 to hit $61.34 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 2.00 to trade at $1840.70 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.17% to 6.1268, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4374.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 90.332.
