Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.35%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 2.35%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 5.72% or 9.28 points to trade at 171.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) added 4.41% or 4.70 points to end at 111.20 and Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) was up 4.20% or 29.00 points to 719.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb), which fell 4.69% or 77.00 points to trade at 1,564.00 at the close. Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW) declined 2.04% or 12.40 points to end at 595.00 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) was down 0.16% or 1.40 points to 875.80.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 98 to 49 and 14 ended unchanged.

Shares in Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.69% or 77.00 to 1,564.00.

Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.57% or 0.62 to $108.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.66% or 0.75 to hit $113.87 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.65 to trade at $1,839.95 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.32% to 7.06, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 104.15.
