Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.27%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 2.27% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb), which rose 6.77% or 106.00 points to trade at 1,672.00 at the close. Meanwhile, GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) added 4.37% or 9.90 points to end at 236.20 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 3.51% or 28.40 points to 837.10 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 3.25% or 5.44 points to trade at 161.80 at the close. Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) declined 2.48% or 4.00 points to end at 157.20 and Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) was up 0.40% or 3.20 points to 809.80.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 79 to 55 and 28 ended unchanged.

Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.51% or 28.40 to 837.10.

Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.55% or 2.44 to $98.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.59% or 2.57 to hit $101.67 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.45 to trade at $1,705.35 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.74% to 7.37, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.04% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 107.80.
