Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.01%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 2.01% to hit a new 6-months high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 6.44% or 12.30 points to trade at 203.30 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 3.68% or 530.00 points to end at 14,920.00 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was up 3.53% or 500.00 points to 14,660.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which fell 3.45% or 3.40 points to trade at 95.20 at the close. Genmab (CSE:GMAB) declined 0.77% or 25.00 points to end at 3,212.00 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was down 0.52% or 2.80 points to 533.40.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 85 to 64 and 17 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.13% or 0.81 to $72.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.09% or 0.83 to hit $76.98 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.80% or 14.35 to trade at $1,815.85 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.08% to 7.05, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 104.73.
