Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.92%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.92% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 11.80% or 19.76 points to trade at 187.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) added 7.92% or 122.00 points to end at 1,663.00 and Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) was up 7.05% or 45.30 points to 687.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which fell 1.67% or 2.05 points to trade at 120.70 at the close. Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) declined 1.43% or 12.10 points to end at 836.70 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) was down 0.98% or 4.00 points to 404.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 97 to 51 and 21 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.25% or 1.07 to $86.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.31% or 1.21 to hit $93.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.31% or 39.65 to trade at $1,753.35 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 1.48% to 7.32, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 2.03% at 108.22.
