Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.89%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.89% to hit a new 3-months high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 15.85% or 25.52 points to trade at 186.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) added 6.66% or 53.30 points to end at 853.00 and GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) was up 4.75% or 11.20 points to 247.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Genmab (CSE:GMAB), which fell 1.18% or 31.00 points to trade at 2,594.00 at the close. Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) declined 1.05% or 2.90 points to end at 272.70 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) was down 0.64% or 6.00 points to 928.40.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 108 to 45 and 13 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.88% or 0.86 to $98.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.04% or 1.06 to hit $102.73 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.97% or 33.90 to trade at $1,753.00 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.30% to 7.32, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.04% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 106.33.
