Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.82%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.82%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 3.14% or 21.2 points to trade at 696.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) added 2.88% or 4.7 points to end at 166.0 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was up 2.21% or 2.3 points to 108.8 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH), which fell 0.48% or 2.4 points to trade at 500.2 at the close. Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) declined 0.47% or 13 points to end at 2741 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was 0.00% or 0 points to 22310.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 87 to 75 and 13 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 3.03% or 2.08 to $70.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.66% or 1.90 to hit $73.42 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.51% or 9.15 to trade at $1785.45 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.09% to 6.6002, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4360.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 96.590.
