Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.62%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.62%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED), which rose 6.86% or 41.70 points to trade at 649.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (CSE:GMAB) added 3.82% or 94.00 points to end at 2,555.00 and Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) was up 3.16% or 38.00 points to 1,241.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which fell 2.72% or 3.65 points to trade at 130.40 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) declined 1.63% or 6.50 points to end at 391.10 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was down 1.29% or 1.22 points to 93.60.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 80 to 72 and 11 ended unchanged.

Shares in GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.72% or 3.65 to 130.40. Shares in Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.29% or 1.22 to 93.60.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.93% or 3.12 to $82.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.48% or 2.96 to hit $88.10 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.48% or 24.80 to trade at $1,696.80 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.24% to 7.57, while EUR/DKK rose 0.07% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 111.60.
