Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.58%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.58%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 4.25% or 6.76 points to trade at 165.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 2.14% or 27.20 points to end at 1,301.20 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was up 1.79% or 220.00 points to 12,540.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW), which fell 1.46% or 8.80 points to trade at 594.00 at the close. Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) declined 0.62% or 6.20 points to end at 989.80 and Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) was down 0.58% or 2.60 points to 446.80.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 75 to 70 and 17 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.30% or 1.09 to $84.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.06% or 0.92 to hit $87.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 2.45 to trade at $1,963.45 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.49% to 6.91, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 104.11.
