Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.53%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.53% to hit a new 6-months high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which rose 4.34% or 7.00 points to trade at 168.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) added 3.96% or 61.00 points to end at 1,602.00 and Netcompany Group (CSE:NETCG) was up 3.83% or 12.20 points to 330.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Genmab (CSE:GMAB), which fell 1.66% or 54.00 points to trade at 3,197.00 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) declined 0.66% or 2.80 points to end at 422.70 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was down 0.08% or 0.10 points to 128.10.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 94 to 58 and 20 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.53% or 2.58 to $75.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 3.64% or 2.84 to hit $80.83 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.89% or 33.95 to trade at $1,826.25 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 1.03% to 6.98, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.06% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.32% at 103.38.
