Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.37%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.37%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb), which rose 6.62% or 166 points to trade at 2672 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 5.76% or 790 points to end at 14495 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was up 4.26% or 48.5 points to 1187.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH), which fell 2.49% or 14.0 points to trade at 548.6 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) declined 1.06% or 10.2 points to end at 954.0 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was down 0.45% or 1.9 points to 423.6.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 116 to 29 and 15 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 3.84% or 2.25 to $60.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 4.07% or 2.52 to hit $64.47 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.36% or 6.15 to trade at $1731.25 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.24% to 6.3053, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4361.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 92.733.
