Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.37%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.37%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which rose 5.69% or 11.40 points to trade at 211.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) added 5.43% or 3.84 points to end at 74.60 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) was up 5.10% or 18.50 points to 381.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa), which fell 1.06% or 180.00 points to trade at 16,770.00 at the close. AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) declined 0.06% or 10.00 points to end at 17,155.00 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 0.16% or 1.20 points to 774.50.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 97 to 49 and 21 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.22% or 1.92 to $88.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.08% or 1.92 to hit $94.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.92% or 15.70 to trade at $1,725.00 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.84% to 7.42, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.63% at 108.99.
