Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.30%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.30%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which rose 3.02% or 6.40 points to trade at 218.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 2.92% or 6.00 points to end at 211.20 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) was up 2.33% or 7.80 points to 342.10 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Bavarian Nordic (CSE:BAVA), which fell 2.02% or 4.20 points to trade at 204.00 at the close. Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) declined 1.39% or 1.55 points to end at 110.20 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) was down 1.25% or 7.20 points to 568.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 78 to 67 and 18 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.78% or 0.60 to $77.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.68% or 0.56 to hit $83.22 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.79% or 14.45 to trade at $1,833.05 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.31% to 7.03, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 105.23.
