Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.24%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.24%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK), which rose 4.26% or 16.30 points to trade at 398.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (CSE:GMAB) added 3.52% or 94.00 points to end at 2,767.00 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was up 3.36% or 2.42 points to 74.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which fell 1.52% or 250.00 points to trade at 16,165.00 at the close. AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) declined 1.14% or 180.00 points to end at 15,670.00 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was down 0.49% or 2.10 points to 424.50.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 83 to 66 and 16 ended unchanged.

Shares in Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) fell to 52-week lows; falling 0.49% or 2.10 to 424.50.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.27% or 1.86 to $83.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.58% or 1.39 to hit $89.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 8.65 to trade at $1,719.15 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.49% to 7.47, while EUR/DKK rose 0.08% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 109.90.
