Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.16%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.16% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 3.22% or 450 points to trade at 14430 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (CSE:GMAB) added 2.84% or 70.0 points to end at 2535.0 and Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) was up 1.96% or 26.50 points to 1381.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which fell 0.82% or 0.9 points to trade at 109.0 at the close. GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) declined 0.48% or 2.3 points to end at 474.0 and Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW) was down 0.39% or 3 points to 668.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 93 to 47 and 14 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.44% or 0.73 to $51.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.80% or 0.98 to hit $55.36 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 2.77% or 52.95 to trade at $1860.65 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.32% to 6.0803, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.4371.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 90.005.
