Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.15%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.15%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 3.65% or 43.5 points to trade at 1235.5 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 3.65% or 415 points to end at 11800 and Oersted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) was up 2.90% or 32.00 points to 1134.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW), which fell 1.57% or 11 points to trade at 677 at the close. Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) declined 0.70% or 2.6 points to end at 368.2 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) was down 0.59% or 3.8 points to 644.0.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 74 to 61 and 19 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) rose to all time highs; up 3.65% or 43.5 to 1235.5. Shares in AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) rose to 3-years highs; rising 3.65% or 415 to 11800. Shares in Oersted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) rose to all time highs; rising 2.90% or 32.00 to 1134.50.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.43% or 0.18 to $42.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.79% or 0.35 to hit $44.55 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.79% or 14.75 to trade at $1876.25 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.01% to 6.2749, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4483.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 92.270.
