Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.96%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.96% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb), which rose 4.29% or 35.20 points to trade at 856.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) added 4.23% or 3.18 points to end at 78.30 and Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) was up 3.71% or 10.00 points to 279.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 1.66% or 2.84 points to trade at 167.80 at the close. Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) declined 1.64% or 13.20 points to end at 792.80 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was down 0.76% or 140.00 points to 18,400.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 97 to 52 and 15 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was down 3.66% or 3.66 to $96.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.79% or 2.98 to hit $103.94 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.62% or 10.55 to trade at $1,710.75 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.15% to 7.30, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.05% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 106.80.
