Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.81%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.81%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were William Demant Holding A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which rose 3.49% or 7.0 points to trade at 207.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 3.36% or 36.0 points to end at 1107.5 and ISS A/S (CSE:ISS) was up 2.96% or 2.58 points to 89.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lundbeck A/S (CSE:LUN), which fell 4.27% or 8.0 points to trade at 178.1 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) declined 2.53% or 23.8 points to end at 918.2 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) was down 1.54% or 6.0 points to 383.0.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 90 to 41 and 16 ended unchanged.

Shares in Lundbeck A/S (CSE:LUN) fell to 5-year lows; down 4.27% or 8.0 to 178.1.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.99% or 1.10 to $37.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.49% or 0.97 to hit $39.94 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.73% or 13.75 to trade at $1906.25 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.70% to 6.3524, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4469.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.76% at 93.425.
