Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.80%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.80%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 2.29% or 14.3 points to trade at 639.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) added 2.21% or 6.8 points to end at 315.0 and Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) was up 1.83% or 9.6 points to 535.6 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which fell 4.97% or 7.7 points to trade at 147.2 at the close. AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) declined 4.14% or 980 points to end at 22720 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was down 3.27% or 720 points to 21300.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 94 to 72 and 13 ended unchanged.

Shares in Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.97% or 7.7 to 147.2.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.28% or 0.23 to $83.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.19% or 0.16 to hit $86.22 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.85 to trade at $1818.35 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.12% to 6.5262, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4422.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 95.235.
