Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.75%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.75% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Netcompany Group (CSE:NETCG), which rose 4.61% or 17.20 points to trade at 390.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 4.29% or 7.20 points to end at 175.00 and Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) was up 3.68% or 29.20 points to 822.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which fell 2.16% or 2.18 points to trade at 98.60 at the close. AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) declined 1.37% or 250.00 points to end at 18,040.00 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was down 1.11% or 205.00 points to 18,195.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 94 to 52 and 18 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.03% or 0.99 to $97.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.28% or 1.33 to hit $105.19 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.93% or 16.00 to trade at $1,729.40 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.07% to 7.28, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 106.32.
