Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.73%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.73%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 1.53% or 15.60 points to trade at 1,034.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) added 1.36% or 11.40 points to end at 847.80 and GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) was up 1.11% or 1.60 points to 145.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which fell 2.82% or 4.05 points to trade at 139.70 at the close. AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) declined 2.41% or 395.00 points to end at 15,995.00 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was down 2.40% or 390.00 points to 15,840.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 78 to 65 and 20 ended unchanged.

Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) rose to all time highs; up 1.53% or 15.60 to 1,034.80.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.16% or 0.11 to $70.79 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $76.64 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 2.43% or 47.35 to trade at $1,996.95 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.30% to 6.84, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.06% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 101.77.
