At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Simcorp A/S (CSE:SIM), which rose 2.61% or 17.6 points to trade at 692.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 1.65% or 12.2 points to end at 750.8 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was up 1.61% or 340 points to 21520 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ISS A/S (CSE:ISS), which fell 1.77% or 2.20 points to trade at 121.75 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) declined 1.44% or 3.1 points to end at 211.9 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was down 1.09% or 1.2 points to 113.2.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 79 to 78 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 1.61% or 340 to 21520.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.80% or 0.58 to $71.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.78% or 0.59 to hit $75.23 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 8.10 to trade at $1777.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.56% to 6.5917, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4359.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 96.325.
