Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.71%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.71% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 2.30% or 4.5 points to trade at 200.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 1.58% or 11.4 points to end at 735.0 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) was up 1.23% or 32.0 points to 2630.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb), which fell 1.58% or 18.5 points to trade at 1151.0 at the close. AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) declined 0.91% or 200 points to end at 21780 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was down 0.85% or 200 points to 23450.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 98 to 67 and 14 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.29% or 0.22 to $76.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.16% or 0.13 to hit $79.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 7.50 to trade at $1813.30 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.22% to 6.5668, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4362.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 96.030.
