Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.66%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.66%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 6.05% or 11.1 points to trade at 193.7 at the close. Meanwhile, Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) added 4.55% or 33.40 points to end at 767.40 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was up 3.23% or 720 points to 23040 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb), which fell 1.76% or 19.5 points to trade at 1089.5 at the close. Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) declined 1.39% or 2.3 points to end at 163.4 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was down 0.84% or 5.4 points to 636.5.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 87 to 67 and 19 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.87% or 0.75 to $86.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.69% or 0.61 to hit $89.05 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 2.85 to trade at $1840.35 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.06% to 6.5651, while EUR/DKK rose 0.03% to 7.4435.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 95.515.
