Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.62%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.62% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 6.03% or 8.62 points to trade at 151.60 at the close. Meanwhile, GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) added 4.10% or 6.50 points to end at 165.20 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was up 3.14% or 12.70 points to 416.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb), which fell 1.92% or 17.20 points to trade at 877.80 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) declined 0.90% or 3.70 points to end at 405.90 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was down 0.67% or 5.40 points to 801.70.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 86 to 63 and 16 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 3.20% or 2.73 to $88.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.23% or 2.05 to hit $93.79 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.07% or 17.75 to trade at $1,675.75 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 1.06% to 7.38, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.10% at 109.61.
