Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.50%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.50%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which rose 3.62% or 8.6 points to trade at 245.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Oersted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) added 3.29% or 37.00 points to end at 1162.50 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was up 3.22% or 43.5 points to 1393.5 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which fell 1.24% or 5.4 points to trade at 431.8 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) declined 1.24% or 1.2 points to end at 98.6 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was down 0.76% or 105 points to 13660.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 82 to 56 and 16 ended unchanged.

Shares in Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.62% or 8.6 to 245.9. Shares in Oersted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) rose to all time highs; rising 3.29% or 37.00 to 1162.50. Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) rose to all time highs; up 3.22% or 43.5 to 1393.5.

Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.27% or 0.61 to $47.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.12% or 0.57 to hit $50.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.31% or 5.75 to trade at $1877.05 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.28% to 6.0934, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4386.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 90.317.
