Commodities Corner: OPEC says renewables are set to lead long-term growth in energy demand

Energy demand has strengthened in the wake of last year’s pandemic-related drop and is expected to continue to rise in the long term, with growth led by renewables, including solar and wind power, but coal is likely to be left behind, according to the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries World Oil Outlook report released Tuesday.
