Citigroup announced earnings per share of $1.63 on revenue of $18.50. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $1.49 on revenue of $18.38B.

Citigroup shares are down 28% from the beginning of the year, still down 41.34% from its 52 week high of $73.22 set on October 15, 2021.

Citigroup shares gained 1.51% in pre-market trade following the report.

Citigroup’s report follows an earnings beat by JPMorgan on Friday, who reported EPS of $3.12 on revenue of $32.7B, compared to forecasts EPS of $2.92 on revenue of $32.11B.

Wells Fargo&Co had beat expectations on Friday with third quarter EPS of $1.3 on revenue of $19.51B, compared to forecast for EPS of $1.1 on revenue of $18.75B.
