Under the terms of the agreement, as of August 2023, Blink Charging will install their IQ 200 pedestal chargers at various Arcos Dorados franchises across Puerto Rico. These franchises are situated in different places such as Mayaguez, Fajardo, Ponce, and San Juan. These specific charging stations, part of the Blink-owned infrastructure, are anticipated to be operational and offering high-quality and dependable electric vehicle charging to customers by the end of the summer.

“We applaud Arcos Dorados for their visionary move and forward-thinking actions in integrating EV charging in their prominent restaurants throughout Puerto Rico,” said Blink director of global operations, Juan Barahona.

“Blink is thrilled to spearhead the international EV charging landscape through an expanded footprint of charging solutions now available in Puerto Rico,” Barahona added.

So far, Blink has achieved a commendable milestone by selling or implementing a total of 2,138 chargers across eight nations in the LATAM region since its introduction to the market in 2020. This partnership will play a significant role in advancing EV infrastructure and catering to the increasing desire for electric vehicles.

The IQ200 chargers developed by Blink represent the fastest Level 2 (L2) AC charging stations currently accessible. With the capability to deliver an output of up to 80 amps, these chargers possess the capacity to provide an approximate range of 65 miles with just one hour of charging.
