American Electric Power announced earnings per share of $0.87 on revenue of $3.6B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $0.7827 on revenue of $3.94B.

American Electric Power shares are down 7% from the beginning of the year, still down 23.40% from its 52 week high of $100.65 set on March 4, 2020. They are under-performing the Nasdaq 100 which is up 3.21% from the start of the year.
