After-Hours Movers: Snap Sinks Following Weak Results, Drags Meta and Pinterest Lower

Immunic, Inc. (Nasdaq: IMUX) 76% LOWER; announced the outcome of a pre-planned interim group-level data analysis of its phase 1b clinical trial of IMU-935 in patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis. The overall trial is ongoing and remains blinded. The pre-planned interim analysis revealed that the group averages for Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) reductions in the two active arms did not separate from placebo at four weeks. Although the active arms performed in line with prior expectations, the trial experienced a greater decrease than expected in PASI in the placebo arm based on similarly designed trials.

Snap (SNAP) 27% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.08, $0.32 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.24). Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.13 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.12 billion. Daily Active Users increased 19% year-over-year to 363 million Given uncertainties related to the operating environment, Snap is not providing our expectations for revenue or adjusted EBITDA for the fourth quarter of 2022.

Tenet Healthcare (THC) 16% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $1.44, $0.18 better than the analyst estimate of $1.26. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4.8 billion versus the consensus estimate of $4.8 billion. Board of Directors has authorized a $1 billion share repurchase program. FY 2022 Adjusted EBITDA Outlook range revised to $3.375 billion to $3.475 billion, a ~1% change to the mid-point of the previous Outlook range

SVB Financial Group (SIVB) 13% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $7.21, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $7.18. Issues lower outlook.

Pinterest, Inc. (PINS) 7% LOWER; Falls following Snap’s results.

Whirlpool (WHR) 5% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $4.49, $1.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $5.53. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4.78 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.2 billion. Whirlpool sees FY2022 EPS of $19.00, versus the consensus of $21.76. Whirlpool sees FY2022 revenue of $20.1 billion, versus the consensus of $20.59 billion.

Meta Platforms, Inc. (META) 4% LOWER; Falls following Snap’s results.

Bj’s Restaurants, Inc. (BJRI) 3% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.25), $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.28). Revenue for the quarter came in at $311.35 million versus the consensus estimate of $303.28 million.
