3M Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q2

3M announced earnings per share of $2.48 on revenue of $8.7B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $2.43 on revenue of $8.6B.

3M shares are down 24% from the beginning of the year, still down 33.86% from its 52 week high of $202.77 set on August 16, 2021. They are under-performing the Dow Jones which is down 11.97% from the start of the year.

3M’s report follows an earnings beat by United Parcel Service on Tuesday, who reported EPS of $3.29 on revenue of $24.77B, compared to forecasts EPS of $3.16 on revenue of $24.65B.

Union Pacific had beat expectations on Thursday with second quarter EPS of $2.93 on revenue of $6.27B, compared to forecast for EPS of $2.84 on revenue of $6.12B.
